Browns on MJI

Heard a cool aircheck of "The Scottster"(still the best IMHO) on MJI from Oct. 1999.
They were giving away Browns stuff, promoing the Chris Palmer Show at 8pm from Shula's Steak II etc.,etc.
I totally forgot that the Browns were on Majic back then. Were they also on TAM at the time?
What about MMS? What were they doing? I ask simply because, to me, rock and football go hand-in-hand.
Were MJI, MMS and TAM all Clear Channel yet?
Other than listen, I didn't really follow radio closely until about 2002.
Thanks for the response.

WMJI was the Browns flagship from the time the team came back in 1999--and they were all CC in early 1999. Second flagship was WTAM when not TRIBE or Cavs (which was overflow on WMMS when Browns and Indians occupied the others). Remember: in 1999, Majic was THE KING, so it only made sense then to put the Browns on there.

Can I get a copy of that Scottster aircheck? :)

Not sure if I can do that...it's on ****************, if you have a subscription.
Even if you don't, you MIGHT be able to listen to it...really short...just go to the site, click on "airchecks", type in Scott or Scott Howitt and the mp3 should appear.

In 1999, WTAM and WMJI (along with WMMS, WMVX, and WGAR) were owned by Jacor, which was later merged into Clear Channel.

WMJI was the "flagship". As is the case today, WTAM carried all the games that were not in conflict with Indians or Cavs coverage.
