Browns on WONE

Nice to hear the Cleveland Browns games back on WONE - 980-AM - Radio again this season. None of their pre-season games were heard on that station because of WONE carrying the Dayton Dragons.

Just a couple of notes from Sunday's game......

During the feed from the Browns Network, there seem to be continued
volume drops. I've noticed that during the Browns games on WONE for a couple
of seasons on various radios and at different locations.

The various commercials were separated out well except for the singing spot
for Fricher's - which quickly got old. It was played nine or ten times during the game.

It was nice to hear Jim Donovan back doing the play-by-play. He had been off
since June after having a bone marrow transplant.

I heard a little, but was mostly watching the game. Jim and Doug are great and I was so glad they were able to cover it. I was one frustrated person when I couldn't hear any preseason games because of the Dragons.

I was watching it, too, but had the sound on the TV turned down so I could hear Jim and Doug. Sometimes the TV is slightly ahead on the radio (thanks to WONE's on-air delay) and you have to co-ordinate the picture up with the radio sound.

I just noticed that I spelled Fricker's incorrectly on the earlier post. How could I have done that after hearing that singing commercial 47 times during the game?

Hilarious! And I normally do that but I can't stand the delay.

On some of the cable TV boxes, the remote control enables you to rewind a live feed. It can take a little doing (hopefully before the game begins) to slightly "back up" the feed coming over the TV to match the radio station's on-air delay. I was able to do that today.
