Browns radio network audio issues

100.7 has a very distinct, high pitched, annoying buzz in the background of their Browns audio. It's been there since last week's game.

And 97.5 (WONE) and 104.5 (out of Wooster) both sound like crummy 64kbps mp3 with all sorts of digital artifacts that are very evident.

Listening to WKBN's broadcast, which is pretty much lined up with the broadcast on Time Warner. I miss the days when WMMS' audio lined up with channel 19 100%.

The Browns set up a new satellite system over the summer, I totally agree about the 'mp3' sound we're getting out of the receivers. WMMS probably gets it direct so they sound a bit better.

Thank you for the explanation why that is happening! Hopefully the Browns resolve that soon, although they might have bigger issues to resolve based on the past two games...

Browns audio quality for flagship WMMS is very poor -- persistent, loud, and very distracting buzz in the background. I'm amazed that WMMS has not yet resolved this issue, especially since broadcast rights for the Browns expire after this season.

Browns audio quality for affiliate WONE-FM is also very poor, but in a different way. Audio sounds distorted, like it is airing underwater. Probably due to digital compression.
