Brownsburg morning drive

Yes, alongside Libby Farr.

Does Jeff Pigeon still do the morning drive shift on the Brownsburg FM station?

There is NO Brownsburg radio station. It's a CASTLETON radio station, with studios on 82nd street. Brownsburg was irrelevant to the out-of-state owner.

WKLU is licensed to Brownsburg but maintains studios and offices in Castleton (though the tower and transmitter are still in BBurg.)

Actually, the tower and transmitter are not in Brownsburg (Hendricks County) but in Indianapolis (Marion County) off 21st Street just west of Girls School Road.

The ONLY B'Burg station is 1610, the part 15 station. BTW, 1610 was running ads in the Hendricks County Flyer for their 1 year anniversary party. Did anyone catch it?

Right you are! My apologies... I only glanced at the map - should've looked longer. Thanks, Hoosier.

WZPL Greenfield has transmitter and studio in Indianapolis.
WLHL Shelbyville has transmitter in Southport and Studios in Indianapolis.
1070 long time Indianapolis station has towers in Whitestown.
WITT is licensed to Zionsville has a transmitter in S Boone County and has studios in Indianapolis.
WFDM long time Indianapolis located Studios are currently in Franklin. Despite what is reported the tower CAN NOT move to Indianapolis.

City Of License is a State Of Mind and a legal requirement. Many pick a City that has no service and then provide some level of service.

I have seen one time where a City looses service and it is replaced. Bill Shirk and Bill mays sold WYJZ Lebanon to Radio one who moved it to Speedway. They had a non commercial station to replace it. WIRE "Radio Mom" provides all the local news, sports, and lost dog reports Boone County can handle.

That transmitter may be on Southport Rd., but it's several miles from the town of Southport. That's an Indianapolis address. In fact, the WLHK transmitter is closer to actually being in Shelby County than it is to being in Southport.

Otherwise, your point is well taken.

does it really matter where the tower and studio's are? if you listen to it on your radio without static of hiss, its percieved as a LOCAL station! nobody thinks about things like this except radio geeks(and WE don't count)

Is WTLC-FM still licensed to Greenwood?

Always has been. Their local studio was a round table on County Line Road with 5 microphones.
