Bruce Cherry new PD at 'KTK in G'ville

(According to R&R Online)

He had been OM for the Pamal group in Gainesville for the last five years and the morning guy at 106.9.

I might check out WKTK sometime but I'm always afraid I might hear Delilah by mistake.

What's the story on Les Howard's demise? He was canned after a long, successful run as a PD in West Palm, now he's out after 3 years in Gainesville. Just curious. I worked with him many years ago and had no particular problems with him, but that was a looooong time ago.

Turn in the License??

So you replace a guy with a winning track record, like Les Howard (who created and put WEAT-FM in West Palm on the top, his leaving there was not a performance issue), with, sigh.

In the 1920s, when radio stations couldn't 'hack it' anymore, they'd dismantle, and turn the license into the Radio Commission, or the Navigation folks, can't remember who was in charge of radio at the time....I'm thinking this would've probably been better for Entercom.
