Bruce Stevens is out at WTIC AM 1080. Station management decided not to renew his contract and guest co-hosts will be on with Collin in the Afternoons. Full story in today's Hartford Courant. http://www.courant.com/hc-nujavac1005.artoct05,0,1619810.story

Stevens was also doing Saturday Mornings at 96.9 FM Talk in Boston. I wonder if GM will make room for him to be on the air on 96.9 daily.
 
I find it laughable that Colin would say he and Bruce had "incredible" chemistry, since in recent years, Bruce's role seemed to be giving the time and throwing the show to news, weather, or traffic.

Colin's presence seems to have been really downplayed on the TIC website as well. Makes me wonder if he will be the next shoe to drop. Remember, they do have Hannity on at nights, could this be the precursor to putting Hannity on in his traditional 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. slot?

Or how about Bruce and Jim Vicevich in the afternoon? Would open up midmornings for syndie...Glenn Beck...another local program?

I do hope that they keep things local. While I am sorry to see Bruce go I will admit he was always very negative about everything.

Collin can be fun to listen to at times but he rambles too damn much, many times after listening I think to myself, "what the hell was he talking about"

Diane Smith should go, while she seems like a nice lady I hate her interview skills, Shes always going uhh huh, yup, uhh huh.. in her interviews not even seeming to pay attention to what the other persons saying. I think it drives me nuts because I can tell shes not paying attention.

BTW did you know WTIC is on a 10 second delay? If you have a scanner and are in the Hartford area tune in to 161.7600 its live feed of WTICm which I believe they air for Mike Allen, as when they do traffice reports you do not hear Mike Allen but do hear the traffic music (It must be his IFB channel, also sometimes yu can hear the producer talking) The audio here is exactly 10 seconds ahead of what your hearing on the radio. Also if you have that scanner out you can hear Mike Alen and Mark the Shark on 455.2500 they do a lot of joking around back and forth between reports. The audio here like the other frequency is 10 seconds ahead of what your hearing on the radio.

Again I do hope WTIC keeps things local, its one of the few good remaining stations left.
