Bruce Williams ending his program March 5th

Wow, I had no idea Bruce was still on the air. Used to be you could twirl the AM dial at night in the late 80s and you'd pick him up everywhere, a lot like you could get Art Bell everywhere in the 90s. His show was ubiquitous and I listened quite a bit. Wish him well.

I guess when talk radio became angry middle aged white men and Bruce didn't conform, he began losing stations.

I couldn't have summed it up better. Pretty much all talk radio is now is people yelling about something or someone which is why I don't even bother any more. The only program I listen to regularly is The Rollye James Show since you never know what she will be talking about. Sadly Coast to Coast is not what it used to be. I want more ghosts and supernatural things not all of this political crap. I can hear that on any channel day or night.

I like all the angry shows that people here seem to detest so much, but learned more from Bruce Williams than any of those other guys. Rush and gang may teach you what's going on in the world, but Bruce taught you how to live your life. That's more valuable than politics any day.

I'd suggest listening to weekend specialty shows but even they are starting to fall. Half of the time Cigar Dave is a conservative talk show.

Indeed he is. XM Radio carries him on Channel 166 (XM Right) which also carries Hannity and Levin.

America Right used to carry more programs on the weekends that one wouldn't necessarily call conservative talk, like Into Tomorrow with Dave Graveline, Bob Brinker's Money Talk, Gun Talk, Motor Trend Radio, Peter Greenberg Worldwide, and America's Car Show. America Left went with Air America on weekends. When they began merging programming, most of those shows were wiped off XM 166. Motor Trend, America's Car Show, Gun Talk, and Dave Graveline are all now on Sirius XM Stars Too on both platforms. Cigar Dave was originally scheduled to move there too but they reversed that decision at the last minute. Peter Greenberg moved to nights on America's Talk but now John Batchelor runs in that slot. Bob Brinker is gone from satellite radio completely.
