Bruins Coverage

I can attest personally to the strength of 1050 here in RI. When I heard that ESPN may be getting the rights to the Yankees games next year, I specifically did a test. Scott Fybush can back me up on this one.

1050's signal is as solid as a local here in RI at night. It's better than 660 and 880 here and the 2nd best NYC signal here, outside of WINS. (WABC and WBBR both could easily tie for 3rd).

And as for that fan ratio, you may want to reduce it to closer to 70/30 or even 65/35. People forget the proximity of RI to Connecticut and the infulence of New Yorkers travelling to/moving to Rhode Island.

Providence has had a Yankees radio affiliate for years, on the Yankees radio network, throughout the year, you'll hear the "Yankees Radio Network fan of the game" be someone from Rhode Island.

Trust me, as a young radio geek growing up, the first time my family took a trip to the East End of Long Island, I was absolutely mesmerized by how many Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts stations come in. So I wouldn't doubt there being a Yankees fan base in that area of Long Island, much less Rhode Island.
