bruins radio network

Yesterday I was listening to the Bruins on WEEI ( 103.7 Wvei ) and WEEI game feed was 6 or 7 seconds ahead of 98.5 the sports hub . Does this happen on the Red Sox Radio network ( other stations ahead of the Boston station ) ? It sound out of place hearing " 98.5 Boston Celtics radio network " on WEEI ( 103.7 Wvei ) .

there are delays all thru the audio and air chain, and as someone mentioned above a delay in the AM so that when the HD1 drops out the AM comes in at the exact spot the HD dropped out.... there is a lot of delay in processing HD audio

in your case it may have been WVEI was getting it off a "PGM out" stream from a point before it went to WEEI's HD encoding process and the sync delay for seamless switching

Try listening on SiriusXM through their app. Driving my daughter to practice two weeks ago, and I was getting a bad signal on 98.5, in Tyngsboro. I switched over to my SiriusXM stream, and the game had to be about a minute and a half behind. I get it though, as it's going through so many systems to get from the broadcast booth to the stream.
