Bruins Re-up With The Sports Hub

For the Boston bruins, this deal makes sense.

Had the team gone to WEEI 850/93.7 (even if 'EEI offered more money) might have put the Bruins as "the low man on the totem pole", meaning that Bruins' broadcasts would have taken a backseat to the Red Sox, the Celtics, and perhaps even to Boston College basketball.

By staying put, they will only get bumped if they go head-to-head with the Patriots (which I think has only occurred once in "Sports Hub"'s history).
 
It's possible WODS may have also carried a B's game on final election night 2008 (if there was a sched game that night and I think there was). Your link was to a conflict due to '08 NH primary. (Final) Election night 2010 I think there was either no game, or ZLX had B's.

I believe a Pats-B's conflict (Mon night football?) last yr led ZLX to carry B's

All B's games on WZLX at these times...
Monday Nov 21 2011 B's at Canadiens (KC vs Pats on MNF)
Sat Jan 14 2012 B's at Carolina (Denver vs Pats-Playoffs)
Sun Jan 22 2012 B's at Philly (Baltimore vs Pats-Playoffs)
I don't recall if Superbowl Sunday they moved the B's who played at 12:30PM...I believe 98.5 did carry that game then went right to SB46 pregame coverage thereafter...

So 3 B's games went to WZLX last season

FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON....
Monday Dec 10 2012 B's at Detroit (Houston at Pats MNF)....this B's game will likely go to WZLX

Possible Conflicts?
Sun Jan 13 2013 B's at NYR 7;30PM; 4th Divisional Game at 4:00PM (Though historically the Pats have gotten the Sat N slot, if they were slotted to this game...chances are the B's go to WZLX due to the post game show on BZ-FM

So barring any other events....looks like 1 for sure, POSSIBLY 2 games over to 100.7 this season....

Fox actually has the Sat night game this year, so the pats would Saturday at 4:30, or Sunday at 4:30 (those are CBS's two broadcasts in the 2nd round this year)
