It wasn't that Tony was talking Rose Bowl; everybody was!
He was the only national guy at the game and at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where the media was centered. It was equivilant to him being the only guy at the Super Bowl media center or any other major event. His segment with Mack Brown and Beano Cook was hardly "coach speak" and was better than any of the crap ESPN regurgitates.
What do they do that is "fresh"? Cowherd stinks and Patrick is so lame, they had to pay Olbermann big money to help prop his hairdo up every day.
ESPN's idea of cool stories is Polls or tired 2nd string analysts coming in to say nothing new. Bruno has stories from the sidelines, locker rooms and the flavor of game no one else could bring, because they weren't there!
Bruno stands out from the rest because he does what all of those others try to do and fail: inform AND entertain. No one knows more people and is respected by people who work hard to stay the best than Bruno.
