I like the end of the Herald story. Miller had no comment. The 1 time somebody wanted his input, and he gives a "no comment". Pathetic.
 
I think Finneran would be great, with the right team around him. Any ideas?
 
Herald also had an article today about a new Sunday afternoon show on WTTT which will look at the Middle
East and try to examine all sides of the issue, etc. Right up against the Patriots, though...anyway,
it mentions Jimmi Carter works for WTTT--prob. the same guy who used to produce Gene Burns
on WRKO (and Gene would mention his name at the end of his show). Remember, the Gene Burns
program: brought to you by a grant from the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
 
yo yo the low point was Jeff Katz. Scott Allen Miller's problem was that he has talent and failed to utilize it.
They appeared to make a puppet out of him. It isn't THIS HARD to find good talent. Julie & Jason are making
it a lot more difficult for themselves.

The bottom-line : you can't build an "all-star" line-up with Miller in it. They've known it for a while. Finally, the time is here for the to drop the hammer on Fatso Scotto. Props to Jason and Co.
 
miller has never had a successful show. He came from a small market where he had no ratings. He leaves Boston after THREE and a half years after having no impact and creating no buzz. Never liked his Beavis and butthead style. Peter Blute kept him afloat and his solo show has been a disaster. I don't hear the talent. I hear someone who is not likeable and cannot even get a phonecall.

on this we all agree. miller show was never good, but let's remember RKO has fired good talent before and replaced it with worse.

The way things are going, WRKO's days as a talk station may be numbered. Maybe they should just simulcast WEEI all day and get better ratings and demos. Isn't that what Julie wants to see one day.

If RKO rescues Finneran, more damaged goods, they are just in a repeating pattern started with the hire of
Peter Blute.

To rescue the station Howie Carr has to fall on his sword and open up the sealed court papers on his first marriage. Let's find out how truly abusive the man is. Wasn't Cathy Submit some advertising chick for a country station that Janet E. Jeghelian (another Republican!) enabled to become a husband stealer? She
then went to RKO until she could get her security (additional Carr offspring, like the world needed more!)

If RKO hires Finneran they could become the national enquirer of Talk Radio
 
I thought I heard Cathy worked for kiss 108.

Herald says Feinburg does have 9-noon slot. This is for now but they're still on a Nationwide
Search, as Howie would say for regular host for that slot. As for nights:

when no Celts or Red Sox: Savage at 7, Doyle at 10
When there's a 7 pm (8 pm, etc) game: Savage follows end of game, no Doyle
Late start? Savage at 7
