BRW: Jackie Ankeles back, 10a-3p on WNBP 1450

WNBP, of course, is owned by two local media people: Carl Strube, former Maine radio guy and longtime record promotions executive here in the Boston area, and veteran radio personality and programmer Pete Falconi. A good station owned by two people who care about the business.

Great to know that Jackie is back on the air.

Yes and they're committed to local programming acc. to their site. Have heard a couple of her talk breaks and a lot of music--as you can see from their site (changing pictures) it ranges from Beatles to Tony Bennett, Bette Midler, Sinatra to Rod Stewart etc. Glen Campbell now on.

Let's see what they run next: a jazzy female singer ("yesterdays, golden days...") not sure who.
No display of "now playing" on their stream

Well if you're in your car and headed up that way maybe it won't be bad. I was having trouble getting it here in Beverly on my stereo but the stream worked just fine.

For a while they tried to pitch themselves as reaching down to Cape Ann, even using the
call letters WNCG--Newburyport-Coast-Gloucester
