BSMW/Scott: ESPN 890 poss for sale?/what about D&C

Two interesting items in Scott's Shots from http://www.bostonsportsmedia.com/shots

Could JSports be in process of selling 890 WAMG (ESPN Boston)? Scott says "the whispers of 890 ESPN having a for sale sign on its call letters appear to be true". While it has made some brief showings in the ratings
(thanks perhaps to the local content/Mike Felger), it still is plagued by a weak signal and the absence
of play-by-play of local sports teams. (Would ESPN itself be interested in buying?) Also Scott points out that for all we know, John & Gerry may not
come back to 'EEI and could wind up elsewhere, perhaps at "Howie's new place".

I could imagine WTKK doing morning drive with Howie and then put D&C on at 10 am, with Graham perhaps
switching to evenings...? Though it's unknown if Gerry's voice will come back (supposedly he is getting
better but again just how long has been off--since spring training? Or maybe it just seems that way.

ESPN Boston might have a shot at picking up some disaffected WEEI listeners but again, weak signal,
owners without deep pockets, no Sox/Pats/Celts/B's play-by-play rights...

Bruce Allen of the same site also chips in with this piece in which he wonders if Dennis is "sitting out"
the last few weeks of the D&C contract...are he & Gerry FM bound?
