BUBBA ADDS GAINESVILLE

From what I recall, 102.3 comes in fairly well into Gainesville on 75 at least. WYGC takes over and throws more signal into the WNW area of the region and lets you hear it up to around Lake City to the north.

Talking about 102.3 WTRS, the new BTLS affiliate in Ocala, not WHPT 102.5. Now, WHPT barely makes it to Homosassa Springs, and is not very strong into Ocala from what I remember.

OK... Because in the late 70's before they were on their big stick, I could pick them (102.5) up past Ocala....

That is because WTRS 102.3 was still operating from its Dunnellon TL with 3kw as opposed to now with 50kw from a TL only a few miles from Ocala. Back in the '70s, WTRS had a much weaker signal in Ocala so WQSR (later WSRZ and now WHPT) had a fairly decent signal into Ocala without WTRS second adjacent signal blocking 102.5.
