Bubba Cranks Cleveland

Yesterday on Bubba Show they were discussing on-air whether or not to continue their “Bubba Cranks Cleveland” feature where he prank calls Cleveland businesses. Not because it’s gotten old, or because he was ordered by corporate to switch up his routine, but because some listeners now consider his schtick to be mean-spirited, offensive, etc. (Watch here: Facebook) Have people become such snowflakes now that they can’t handle a goofy, harmless prank call? This type of radio has been done for decades, and if it’s not your thing there are plenty of “family friendly” options for the morning commute like K-Love and Wish 99.7. People should not be expecting G-rated content from a guy who’s done CHR morning zoo-style radio in the market for decades now.

I will admit I hardly ever listen to Bubba unless I’m in the car with my sister, but it’s not because I find his schtick too offensive. It’s simply because I think Mikey & Bob do a better show.
