Buckcherry's "Sorry" has to go!

I'm speaking as a listener here. I really think it's overplayed and am so sick of hearing it on the radio. Buckcherry's "Everything" is a much better song which is not being played much anymore. I say get rid of the dumb Sorry song. Uggh.

Amen! His voice inflections are so annoying now. "It makes me waaanna cryyyyyyYYYY!"

LOL. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. It just makes me wanna go insane!

It looks like the song is FINALLY starting to get dropped. I turn the studio volume down every time it comes on.

If you're IN radio, you cannot possibly speak as a listener. It is virtually impossible to be objective enough.

btw, many of you are forgetting one of the big lessons from radio 101: "when you're burned out on a song, your audience is probably just getting comfortable with it".

;D

There may be some substantiation to that statement...although the song still sucks:

Mediabase National Callout, 1 May 2008
Hot AC

Adults 25-44 (All), In-Tab 731
"Sorry" by Buckcherry
POS: 64.2%
NEG: 17.4%
HVY BRN: 10.0%
FAMILIARITY: 86.8%

This is, of course, dated by one week (as of this posting)

Plus, how many of the posters who hate the song are dudes? This is a Hot AC forum, correct? It's not about your opinion of the song...it's about the women!!

Sorry is becoming the 2008 version of Lips of an Angel.....another whiney alt. rock song the 13 year olds love

Except for one thing the song sorry is not even remotely alternative. They are active rock and the song is very pop not even close to being alternative. in fact it belongs on every genre exceot alternative i know so called alt stations play but they should not!!!

EXACTLY. Listeners just know if they like a song or not.

My most requested song right now is "Handlebars" by Flobots. Sure it's an "alternative" track... but my listeners don't care. All I know is that phones exploded for it after just one spin... and I get calls from all ages, not just the younger end of the demo!
