Buckethead STINKS!

Heard today that Reese was fired from the Buckethead show. I will defend her by saying that she never had a chance working for the "tool" that is Buckethead. Nothing worse than a guy that "THINKS" he's funny. A guy that laughs at his own stupid comments. A guy that "THINKS" he's hip on EVERY topic. A guy that tries to come off like a tough guy on the air. HE STINKS!

I blame CC for thinking THIS show was the answer for their XTB woes. Out of all the shows available in the Country, they thought BUCKETHEAD was the solution. Wow...
He has absolutely ZERO likeability. It's obvious by the ratings that 98rock, Brad Harding, Marc Chase, Doubledown, and whomever else is calling the shots, is clueless!

Cowhead must be laughing everytime the ratings book comes out...

Every ex CC employee is a happy employee...

While I have no opinion on Buckethead, (I have never listened or had the inclination to), I am just happy to see a new topic on this board!

I must admit that it is my least favorite 98 Rock morning show, so far. XTB is my favorite station in Tampa and I do not want them to ever change format, but I wish someone could come up with a better morning concept.

I don't think the "Big Boys" were given a fair chance. They did not have their chemistry worked out and the bobm was dropped.

Oh - I hear the "Regular Guys" are available.

I agree with the guy above .....it is about time there was a new topic !

Sounds to me like he was just copying the fact that Cowhead fired Brent a couple of weeks ago. Can't any of thse guys come up with an original idea?

Next thing you know, Eric of the CW will a guest host and they'll have Chippendale type dancers come in for a Friday dance off! Sheesh!

I second the subject of this thread!

Drama

Question regarding "firing". Is the decision solely that of the "anchor" guy to fire a support member, or is it the station that terminates the employee? Is the employment contract between the "team" and station or between the employees and the station? Obvioulsy, radio management is well versed on what can or can not be said or done when terminating someone, whereas most radio personalities haven't been educated in these areas.

It could have just been a budget cut. it's that time of the year at CC.

I haven't heard the morning show (personally I'm a Mike & Mike on ESPN guy) but I had heard Buckethead afternoons on JRR from time to time and liked the show. However, in afternoons the show was more music intensive than AM drive, so maybe this is pushing his limits by making him come up with more material on a daily basis.

You NAILED it! He's ok in PMD, but isn't good enough for morning drive. It's not easy coming up with good material day in, and day out. It's even harder to make what you've got entertaining. He's not able to pull it off. And his surrounding cast doesn't compliment him. There's just not that, "I have to tune in so I don't miss something!" factor on his show. I hope he doesn't give up his Orlando gig, he could find himself back in O-town VERY soon!
