Buckmaster jukes the Jolt

Wow, that didn't last long. Bill Buckmaster announces he's leaving KJLL after three months? Moving the show over to KVOI.

After hearing what has been going on over there for the last month, I don't blame him. I heard a devil has come to town, and it's looking to bury what's left of that station. Poor John C. Scott. He tried.

...John C. Scott didn't try s**t. Whoring out a station to anyone willing to pay $500 per hour of air time is not trying. Hiring talented people, attracting a measurable audience and selling advertising based on that audience measurement is trying. Scott has been in the business far too long to not know that. Instead, he puts his own voice on two-thirds of the commercials, gives himself the only daily talk program of local origination for most of his tenure, and runs the station at night with an automation/satellite system that leaves minutes of silence at some points and the wrong program at others...

...and, worst of all, wastes the morning hours with that washed-up drunk/druggie, the "nappy-headed 'ho'" himself, Don Imus!

He got what he paid for, right?? :p

Soon to be buried with the rest of the AM band signals in this town...

::sigh::

Last time I tuned in, KJLL was wasting away morning drive-time with Stephanie Miller.

That's 'cause they run the washed-up old coot live, which means that in these DST months he's on from (I think) 3-6AM.
Almost live, anyway: Pretty sure he's on with at least a few seconds delay, in case another non-PC quip should slip from his cadaverous lips. Can you tell I REALLY dislike the I-man?

...Imus was at his best when he did his stuff between 3-minute-long records. Unfortunately, that was before Imus discovered New York street drugs ;D ...

I think John C and Bill Randall are all that is left at the Jolt... Everyone else was sent home.

Wonder how long till they're gone too?

When they get that 386 PC in the back room booted up to take over as the MCP (Master Control Program)

;D

Imus on delay? ;D

hahahahaha

That might require hiring someone, to watch the delay button, or be at the station, or something silly like that...

I'm sure he comes out raw and uncensored..

His time of hour pronouncements ("42 minutes past the hour" for instance), as well as the top and bottom of hour CNN news feeds, are three to four minutes delayed. I'm sure that's the way the Jolt receives the show--not something they do locally.

Sounds like The John C Scott Show has also left the building. All week has been Allan Colmes. So who is running things now over there? Most of the daily scheduled programing on their website has been changed to tba. A friend of mine also stopped by the studios on Broadway and said an elderly woman now resides in the general managers office.

Is she a squatter, or a cleaning lady.

Or the new morning drive talker?

I thought the whole thing was satellite now with no live bodies at the station?

I'd swear that while flipping through channels in the car just a day or two ago I heard a promo for the Scott show. Is he back on, or did they just run an outdated promo piece?

They are also running promos for Buckmaster and he's all over their website. Looks like they've all been chased off. I called and someone at the station told me John C Scott is no longer at Kjll. The office is locked as well during business hours. Too bad.
