WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Paxson Communications Corp. founder and chief executive Lowell "Bud" Paxson is resigning from the broadcast network and television station operator, the Florida-based company said Monday.
He will be succeeded as chief executive by R. Brandon Burgess, an executive vice president of General Electric Co.'s NBC Universal, which owns a 32 percent stake in Paxson.
Paxson, who started the company in 1991 after co-founding the Home Shopping Network, will now have the title of chairman emeritus, said Leslie Monreal, a spokeswoman for Paxson Communications...<P ID="signature">______________
