The August 2012 issue of "Waco Today" magazine (published by the Waco Tribune-Herald) has a cover story on M.N. "Buddy" Bostick.

Buddy helped start KWTX-AM (1230 kHz) in Waco in 1946. Later, he and his business partners put KWTX-TV (Channel 10) on the air in 1955, followed by KWTX-FM (97.5 MHz) in 1970. They also were involved in other broadcasting ventures: KBTX-TV (Channel 3), Bryan-College Station, Texas; KXII-TV (Channel 12), Ardmore, Okla.; KNAL radio, Victoria, Texas; and KLFY-TV, Lafayette, La.

Buddy was voted Pioneer Broadcaster of the Year in 1996 by the Texas Association of Broadcasters.
