BUDDY NEEDS TO SHUT UP AND LISTEN ONCE IN A WHILE

Listening to The Mayor yesterday and he had some guy on the spot. I forgot who it was although if I thought hard enough I'd remember but it was some political tool who probably deserved to be on the spot. Anyway I notice Buddy shoots out a question but after the guy gets about 3 syllables out Buddy starts barking away without letting him finish. He doesn't wait for an answer! The audience never hears the answer or if they do, it takes too damn long. Wait until the noose is fully around the guy's neck before you start pulling the cord. I actually ended up tuning out and not hearing the response because The Mayor just keeps barking at the guy midway through his responses. He doesn't wait for answer because I don't think he wants an answer. Maybe he thinks the answer will be all smoke and mirrors and he's probably right but wait for the damn answer then let into him. I don't have a problem with him putting people on the spot but they're not on the spot until they say enough to put themselves there. Amen.

I heard the same thing, was Councillor Nicholas Narducci, who along with other members of the council were screaming the day after on Buddy's show about getting rid of Supt. Evans, and then when they had a resolution set Thursday night, they turtled and tabled it until next month. Buddy stated he has heard there is quid pro quo going on from the Mayor's office and trying to root it out. While I didn't like the grilling, Buddy did a good job with the guy (Narducci's father & Buddy go way back, he used to be on the zoning board when Buddy was first elected).

The City Of Providence. Will always be Buddy's focus. And thats the simple truth. It may be an ego thing at times.
And like his politics or not. He has experience running that city. If he was Mayor. And the late John Partington was Public Safety Director. School children were not of been left stranded on buses for 8 hours.

Someone needs to wake-up things at Providence City Hall.... At some point!

Walter-answer this question...who is the current Commissioner of Public Safety (who took over for John Partington) in Providence? Answer: The Mayor, who didn't open a crisis operations center until 9pm-about 6 hours too late and STILL had kids on buses until about 10:30-10:45 and not fully home until 11:30. As has been said before, there is not one person to blame in this situation, there are many people

You have to remember Esserman said last summer he was always in charge , during a crisis situation. He really should have had all police activated, whether on foot, horse, or patrol cars with chains. It was Essermans call. Cicilline is to blame, because he did nothing after Esserman did nothing, but its primarily Esserman.

Reason I did is showing backstory as to WHY he might be bulldogging someone he knows and has had previous dealings with (same thing he did w/ Councilman Hassett).
