Buddy

Ask Ron St Pierrre .
Ron brings Buddy cookies once a month. He also brought him a file, but that didn't work. A get out of jail free card, no luck, even a fire place log, Nothing.
When Buddy does get out of the joint, he could gets Shanks on, maybe Craig Price.
Takes one to know one.
What radio station wouldn't want a RACKETEER ( thats what his convition was) in the building?
Can you imagine the calls; "Hey Buddy, how many times did you 'drop the soap' in the shower area"?
" Did you room with any serial killers"? Ah yes, own 'Goodfella' on air.Talk radio at its finest.

Ryan

When it comes to talk radio bad press is good press and a call screener can sift out potentially abusive calls. And would you really use "Clear Channel" in the same sentence with "bidding war" at this point?

The war is already over!! Mr. Mayor will be back on his old station in no time!

I have a little point from experience.
Former Mayor B.S. of Pawtucket spent 4 years in federal prison. I knew him. When he came out, his speech was different, his attitude was different, his ways were different.
I think Buddy will not be mentally ready to handle radio again. Buddy had a problem with drugs and drink, we all know that. He won't be able to go near any of that. He'll be on parole for 2 years. The courts may even say he can't do a radio show.
I think Buddy Cianci is now ex con Vinny Cianci. A different person. A damaged person.
I'd leave it alone. Why put hjj or pro personal through it.

You're saying damaged people can't do radio? It goes with the territory.Bwahahahaha.

I agree, 6 years in prison. Convicted felon. Racketeering. I think thats a little worse than what we are.
The other thing is, when Cianci was at Whjj and Wpro, he was a terror to work for.
Now, can you imagine. Why put employees through that.

michael corrente is waiting to see what happens to buddy when he gets out. the end of the movie will have buddy broadcasting live from wpro.

I'll wait for the DVD. I want to see the deleted scenes.

micheal corente is some kind of WEIRD! The movie 'Federal Hill' all the Gay themes. He tries to make everything centering around secret gay characters and warped characters, hence his love for Buddy.
Please, make Buddy go away! Haven't we learned from Barber?

I have nothing against Buddy being on the Radio. Martha Stewart is still allowed to broadcast and she has a parole officer as well. Getting into trouble doesn't make you a bad broadcaster.

I don't think Cianci would be able to walk out
of prison and into a studio.
I heard he's pretty messed up. Depressed.
I don't think it's going to happen.

Take this to the bank...

1. Buddy WILL be back on Providence radio, soon, and soon-after he's home.

2. Whichever station he's on will be #1, for one book. "Sampling." Then, the-station-itself has to be more-than-just-Buddy.
