Buddy

is there anyone who can get him to curtail Providence talk?/

I have noticed not many callers, same callers, same comments.

I would think he is also hurting Matt's ratings.

I agree, we don't all live in Prov. Some of us live in Narra.

Wrote several times complaining........no answer and no change in
his shtick.

No we all don't live in Providence, the fate of Providence is going to affect us all in the State of RI. Buddy does have to keep talking about Providence because there is new news coming out of the city each day (the latest the police layoffs & pending visit by Holder). Providence and the State's future are so intertwined, it has to be talked about because apparently no one was listening all last year when he was raising warnings about shennanigans going on with the finances and how now Rep Cicilline was running the city (running it into the ground, from the way facts are coming out)....if you don't like it, you can always tune to 920 and get bored to tears over there....

Of course, he is truly the moral compass of Providence. No agenda, just there to protect us citizens. We should be thankful that he is there to steer our thinking.

Oh I didn't say there wasn't an agenda, there most certainly is. But look at everything he has said in the last 3 years about Cicilline, Esserman, the Firefighter contract, the financial status of the city, etc....he has been right on target. And it isn't just Buddy, all 4 hosts pretty much have been on target. Why is it when Arlene would comment and/or put down former atty generals Lynch, Whitehouse, Pine, etc that there would be no backlash or questioning of her agenda? How about when she lambasted the Catholic Church?
Buddy has always been a polarizing figure, you either love him or you hate him.

The difference is exactly as you said, Buddy has a definite agenda and Arlene did not. She was interested in politicians doing their job and not stealing from the public. Buddy is all about getting even with anybody who ever said a negative thing about him. He does it on a daily basis using the exact same stories every time. He has definitely lost his fast ball. It will be extremely interesting what happens when Cumulous comes in and starts looking at salaries.

But she did have an agenda.....as humans, we all do. If you don't like listening to it, as I've said on other threads, there are plenty of choices elsewhere. Looking at the ratings, they are obviously doing something right while others are not.

Here's my Problem with Buddy. I will admit I do like listening to him.Yes, I believe he know what he's talking about. There is a definite Conflict of Interest though to him complaining about Providence's Woes.He was a Big part of the current situation in Providence.his administration OK'ed Most of these Pensions that are bankrupting the City.

I do not think he should be talking about it at all.

Once again. Conflict of Interest and I am surprised No one has called him to the carpet about legally and I think it will eventually bite him and WPRO in the ass.

As for the rest of the WPRO staff talking about Providence's problems I don't have one at all.
