Budget-cutting at CBS radio stations

My feeling on this is that the Writers Guild strike that is resulting in a 20% ratings drop on CBS TV is causing cash flow worries for ALL of CBS -- not just TV.

The WGA strike is about to end, but coming this June will be the Screen Actors Guild strike. And that means that will mean the same thing all over again, as most of the people in the various unions respect each others picket lines. Hopefully that SAG strike won't last as long as the WGA strike has.

All businesses have cash flow. Meeting the payroll is often the single biggest worry when cash flow starts to get tight.

One time when I was working at KDSX in Sherman, the electricity went off because they were late on the electric bill, and I had to go out and start a gasoline powered generator that was kind of like starting a lawn mower. It did bring the station back up again, though...
