Buffalo ratings for July & August

How lasting might that change be?
If/when a proven vaccine arrives will peoples' lives/routines return to normal?
If/when listeners' lives return to some semblance of normal, will radio listening habits revert to pre-pandemic levels?

Nobody can predict that any more than they can predict major league sports outcomes. We can make educated guesses, but we all believe that the foundation has been moved by the earthquake and some things will find a new "normal".
Interesting - to me at least - that radio listening dropped measurably in the weeks immediately following the onset of pandemic declaration. Would not radio have been (touted as) a primary and awesome place to get up-to-the-minute information about this emergency-like situation?

Also, doesn't Entercom on Corporate Parkway have some legal relationship with Kaufmann's jingle thing(?). If so, is that subject to any of these cuts?
Entercom ended that relationship with jingle writer Ken Kaufmann 2 years ago. Together, Ken and I must have wrote 40 jingles for clients. Just another cut from ETM.

Monthly market revenue local direct is down 40-50% from the Millers Kaps. Corporate stations have huge debt and have extended their credit lines, and when COVID hit they lose 50% of their revenue they were already struggling with, it takes a toll.

I can tell you they are not at this point willing to piece off stations to sell. However, I think they will be selling to investor groups, which of course will hurt the actual product even more as all investors are concerned about is getting a great return. They do not care about ratings, people or anything else. All they care about is quarterly return, no matter how it is done.

I am thankful I bought when I did, and what I bought. Its refreshing to not have to be in this web of debt the others are going thru.

I was speaking to an out of town cluster owner the other day and he said they had "high expectations" for their sales staff more than ever. I replied, "High Expectations"??? Do you what's going on in the world? Now is not the time to expect high expectations.
