Other than the fact that WBLK is still listed as "Regent Communications"...

Good book for music stations, unless you're WJYE. It will be interesting to see if this is a blip, or if their major changes over the last year are finally catching up with them. Slow summer book for WBEN. Once again, blip? Or are people reacting to the Bauerle/Beach swap? Anecdotally, I haven't heard anyone happy about that move. Then again, WBEN listeners tend to be conservative about change...

The format data and ownership is inserted by each site and not provided by Nielsen Audio.

This has to be WJYE's worst showing in years, if ever. Not much 'joy' in this book. Would it surprise anybody if mornings took a major hit after Joe Chile and Cheryl Hagen 'retired?' Town Square replaced the long running duo with a younger woman who's new to the market. She's getting beat by Kiss and Star, as well as WYRK. Town Square should have eased her in as part of the WJYE morning show, allowing listeners get to know her, making the change a year or two later. WJYE is skewing younger, but the music is erratic. The presentation is bland. The older listeners that WJYE once had probably went to WHTT. The younger listeners WJYE hopes to attract remain at Kiss and Star. WJYE probably can't wait to get the All Christmas format in place, hoping to get this lost station back on the road. Recalculating.
