Buh Bye Bev Smith Show

best talk host on local radio. once 860 went away it was hard to find it.
but bev smith live at night is really really good. oh gee I am over 55.
i grew up listening to jeff christy and jim quinn. but she is the only talk host that is excellent.
Bev you are the voice of america..not just black america..please remember that.

If I had the sponsors and could produce her show.. i'm in.

TRN should pick her show up. I remember listening to her in Miami many years ago. She is a very good host.

If you read between the lines the story is that he apparently had very few affiliates. Radio One actually appears to be the primary culprit in this... they own the vast majority of the stations where her show would be a natural fit, and won't take it because they already syndicate two other shows.

No syndicated show stays alive without affiliates.

Syndication of Bev's show aside, I think you could put a decent product on the air with Bev and Lynn Cullen as local shows, then syndicated lefties such as Ed Schultz, Thom Hartmann and a few others.

I'm a fascist. I think Attila The Hun was a left-wing pinko.

Okay, not really, but I'm trying to make the point even I think the "LibTalk" idea Part presented here would be a great idea.
