I started this thread...but didn't put my choices down:
MORNING SHOW: If I'm building a new station, I'm putting the KBKO twosome in the cornerstone spot. Ken and Laray are Bakersfield's best morning show. They out-work, out-hussle, and are OUT in the public more than any other show in town. KBKO had like 3 station events last weekend, PLUS the fair, and Ken and Laray where there for ALL of them. When the station gets behind something, Ken and Laray are there. No other morning show in town is even in the ballpark.
NEWS: There's MARK HOWELL, then there's the rest of Bakersfield news guys and gals. There's a reason KUZZ keeps their morning numbers, and I think Mark is the one that keeps it "Bakersfield's News Leader".
MIDDAYS: Anne Kelly. I'd love to hear her interact with listeners like she does at events.
AFTERNOON DRIVE: Since you said "no trackers" Sammy Cruise can't win...but before I pick someone local, let me say SAMMY sounds more LIVE and in BAKO than most of the so-called "live and local" PM-drivers. The dude ROCKS and I'd swear he's in town! That being said, I'd put Dirty Sanchez in afternoon drive. His energy and humor would make the drive home a blast!
NIGHTS: THE REAL BRUCE WAYNE...right where he belongs! Welcome back Dark Knight!
OVERNIGHTS: Any KGFM "personality". Your shows are dull and boring and overnights might help me sleep.
PROMOTIONS DIRECTOR: I know Tracy Peoples and I know she's sorely missed at AGM...so I'll give my nod to Brent at CC. He has his hands full with their battles and the stations never seem to miss a beat. I think you'll be a great PD someday! By the way...Jerry at KUZZ...how's it feel to have to work for a living?

GENERAL MANAGER: Other than Mel and Roger...can anyone NAME all the GMs? That used to be such a VISIBLE position with prestige and community standing. Not so much anymore.
OWNER: Buck. Average tenure of on-air staff at KUZZ: 18 years. Nuff said.
FACILITY: Combine the KUZZ building and the Crystal Palace and you have to say "wow".
REMOTE FLEET: KUZZ for shear numbers...AGM for creative financing...CC for best graphics.
