"The Tribune Company is slated to announce this weekend that it is selling WGN-AM in Chicago to Radio One for a yet undisclosed amount."

"Radio One intends to make WGN the flagship for its new Digital Dance™ format the Washington, D.C. based corporation plans to unveil on its AM radio properties across the nation sometime by the end of 2006."

"The station is to be headed by one-time WGN host, Ian Punnett, who most recently was heard filling in on Premiere Radio's COAST TO COAST LIVE."

"Reached late Friday evening at his home outside of Minneapolis, Punnett, now a radio consultant, acknowledged he will be returning to Chicago and added, "Talk about your classic case of just desserts."

All the dance mixes will be on reel to reel. I seen them pulling the old Teac (refurbished of course) into the main studio!
