Bull's on air line up

The Bull has made changes to it's on air line up,former Kicks afternoon jock Tim Michales is now doing mid days, and Madison who was voice tracking that slot moves to nights. Kristen Gates,Jason Pullman and Lance Huston stay in their current slots.

Agree completely with Roddy. Good for The Bull on opening up another live and local daypart, and good for Tim landing on his feet.

As for nights...rarely do I champion out-of-market voicetracking, especially in this market, but Madison is one of the few exceptions. One of the best female talents in the country, certainly major-market caliber. The Bull was smart to keep her on, although I enjoyed Ty as well.

Interesting move. I will miss Madison,as I don't typically listen to the radio at night. That being said, I think this was a smart move by The Bull. One thing missing by having mid-day voice-tracked was the interaction with the audience. Sometimes during promotions and give aways, you would all of a sudden hear Jason and Kristen on the air in the middle of Madison's shift taking caller #9 and talking to the winner, and then when that was done, boom, you'd hear Madison again. It just didn't work.
I think Tim Michaels is a good choice, and I applaud Bull to changing it up a bit. It could be they smell a little blood after the December ratings and want to keep the momentum going.
Speaking of that, not a word from our good friend Rodney Ho in any of his Radio/TV columns on The Bull beating Kicks for the first time ever. I thought that was significant news, but maybe because it was December, maybe not.

That was odd to do give away in the middle of a shift that is vt. As for Bull beating Kicks for the first time,I think with Kicks going under Cumulus ownership had something to do with it and they will get back on top soon.

Ty is out of Chicago,he still tracks nights for WSIX 98 in Nashville, that former bull jock Slam duncan did until a couple of years ago. Slam is now the executive producer of After Midnight w/Blair Garner witch is ironically heard on the Bull.

I thought I heard Ty this past weekend on the Bull, so maybe he's still tracking weekends?
I've noticed a slight tweak in the Bulls playlist. They're not going as far back as Kicks has, but I think they've added some recent hits from the past few years to their current playlist. Sounds good. Lance is doing a great job.
I wonder if the new PD will implement any more changes?

Kicks is playing songs from 1991-2005 along with the new songs, witch I like personally because the 90's has been called the best decade in Country Music. Anything before 1990 should be saved for a classic country program on Saturday night.
