It is troubling when a radio person gets laid off, since we have laws that limit the number of FM licenses. Lana can't legally start her own station, so she's (allegedly) in a bind. Then again, if a pirate in B-P were to get ignored by the FCC the way they do here in Boston, maybe she should give that a try.
There's little I hear on Barlow's three FM Burlington stations that makes me believe that he has any good new ideas. In the meantime, J-Fo should start setting the buzzer, because she's the only person in that building I would put on the Star morning show right now. She's clearly the face and voice of that station. Why not, you know, put her on in the daypart with the largest audience?
