Those are two of my three favorite Beatles tunes! The third is "Let It Be."johnbasalla said:All Beatles songs except for "Yesterday" and "Hey Jude".
Tom Wells said:Are there some songs that are totally burned out to most people, yet you still like them?
Do you feel guilty about it?
I don't.
I have a few that I like and can't imagine I''ll ever dislike.
Let's start with Yummy Yummy Yummy by the Ohio Express.

Now, why do we continue to hear the greatness, despite the repetition?
Why do they seem impervious to the charring? Because we really like some particular style, or some other aspect?
"Surfin Bird" by the A-Bones
I was only 2 years old when this came out, and you better believe I noticed it!
I loved it, and still do, because it's out of control at the beginning, is manic the whole way thorugh, and barely stays in control,
it's all over the road, its LOUD, and it's the coolest thing from 1962. This a song for the genetically unmellow!
Songs like this were responsible for me not caring for the prevalent mellow pop of the 70's.
I was pretty worried until the Ramones came along.
As long as it isn't used in any more commercials! It's been done to death in commercials!radioman148 said:It's Your Thing--Isley Bros
as it turns out you inadvertantly errored correctly...in 1984 the A-Bones (a punk surf band) recorded "Surfin' Bird" they got their name from the Trashmen b-side "A-Bone" of the 45 "Bird Dance Beat"..the b-side to Surfin' Bird was "King Of The Surf"...the above info courtesy of Joel Whitburn.Tom Wells said:NOW You've caught me in an error! :-[
Of course I meant the Trashmen....I think the B-side is ""A-Bone" and my brain glitched.
I'm 48 yrs old, and haven't gone mellow yet. 8)
