I'm always curious as to how individual stations handle emergency situations. Truth be told, there are a few stations that probably perform a public service by NOT trying to go into emergency/full coverage mode.
Were there stations that simply stayed with regular programming, oblivious to the situation?
I was only able to find one stream during the storm and it was for the Ragin' Cajun. A nice blend of automated tunes with generic liners.
Perhaps it was out of the main footprint of the storm?
I also wondered if there has been any reflection on commercial status. I picture some poor traffic woman having nightmares about make-goods
I suspect you'll have a few advertisers that want back on ASAP simply to promote the local economy.
Finally, it appears that stations carrying United Radio of New Orleans are not giving Legal ID's, including WWL. Not that it's a big concern, unless some whacko at the FCC has some strange bug up his backside.
