Bustos Media

Hmm..the economy is getting better..not! I see the lenders have assumed control of Bustos Media. Amador and his brother are out! I guess its better than a bankruptcy.

Let's put it this way...Bustos' economy was not improving.

Something to note....The ratings. I'm beginning to wonder if 94.3 is playing the hits....

Look at the ratings of KRCX-FM 99.9 and Jose 104.3 and then look at the ratings for 94.3 KGRB...

It can't be the signal since KGRB puts a 64 dbu over most of the market (according to Longley-Rice). Besides, Univision got decent ratings with the 94.3 frequency back in 2004 when the owned it.

I saw an article that mentioned that Bustos owned TV Stations, does anyone know what stations they owned?I remember that about a month ago 94.3 showed up in the San Francisco ratings. It puts a pretty good signal into East and Central Contra Costa. Also are KRCX and KXTE owned by Univision?I didn't think Jose was owned by Univision because most of their Spanish Adult Hits stations were branded something else (I know the name but can't spell it so I won't even try)

KXSE and KRCX are owned by Entravision. Univision owned and operated 94.3 KOSL briefly. Bustos owns 94.3 KGRB, 97.9 KLMG and KSTV Azteca America 32 in the Sacramento Area and 93.9 in Modesto and 103.3 in Grass Valley.

Why is KSTV an Azteca America affilate?Sacramento still doesn't have an Estrella affilate(I think their using the Bay's Affilate,KTNC 42)and Estrella is the second highed rated spanish network now.

Channel 42.2 is targets Sacramento/ Stockton / Modesto

Channel 42.1 targets the Bay Area

I only get the Bay Area version, maybe I'll check it out later.Do all the cable and satilite systems in the valley carry the Sacramento version?I think that Estrella is also on in the Bay Area on KICU 36.3,Do you know if thats right?

I haven't the foggiest idea. Logic would dictate that the valley cable systems would carry the Sacramento version.

I Watched it today and It was very obvious that it was Bay Targeted. All of the local ads were Bay Ads and the TOH ID was a video slideshow of San Francisco(Cable Car etc.)The last view being the Estrella logo shown over a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge. The ID Itself said:
KTNC 42.1 Concord
KICU 36.3 San Jose
San Francisco Oakland San Jose

That was on a Bay Area Cable system correct?

Oh, thank God that DirecTV is available on cable now. I'm so glad. Now I can get rid of my dish.

This is exactly what is offered on my cable system and I live in Stockton and I receive it on Comcast Cable Channel 24. If there are two different channels for two different areas, I am surprised that I get the Bay Area one and not the Sacramento/Valley one?
