Bustos seeks ‘ZoneCasting’ for KZTM and KDDS

When did KZTM move to South Mountain? I thought they were still located on Capitol Peak. I knew they changed COL to McKenna a few years ago, but wasn't aware of a move.

They moved 102.9 to South Mountain a few years ago. I’m not entirely sure if the move was made out of convenience (placing KDDS and KZTM in the same location), or if the ownership group felt that South Mountain provided better coverage.

Shifting the equipment to South Mountain does move the equipment a little further north, and provides a slightly better line of sight at the City of Seattle. I’m not sure if this is ultimately why the move occurred though. Either way, with 102.9 being a largely unoccupied frequency in this region, they get great coverage out of it. The rest of the rimshot signals are hemmed in with co-channels to the north, but 102.9 is still pretty clear in most of the market.
