It depends on what you definition of "IS" is....sorry, just an attention grabber. I know you ALL secretly wish she weren't! LOL...back to business:
This is a RADIO board not a POLITICAL board.
I've allowed topics to stray a little, because that is generally how conversation goes when you are in person. Maybe those of you who criticize my moderation don't actually converse with real people in person and you are restricted to your mommy's basement with your oversized laptop which you think compensates for a lack of intelligence. But I digress...
Anyway...I for one am tired of people complaining that this isn't a political board. While it is NOT a political board, Talk Radio is 90 percent about politics (not a factual statistic, I'm making a point). So, whether you like it or not, politics makes it way in.
BUT...BUT...here is the BUT...
I am noticing a trend among some posters that KEEP their posts political. We all understand that politics mixes in with talk. But RADIO comes FIRST. When you discuss politics here, it has to be related to talk radio, ie Something a Talk Host said, Something a politician said on a Talk Show, ect. It has to somehow tie into radio. It can be VERY easy to take political pot shots, even fun sometimes because we want to see how the other guy will respond. But then the posts degrade into political trash bashing. I'm asking that we keep our reactionary comments to a minimum.
Listen, I am just as guilty of straying off topic (and picking on people). So I am not trying to point fingers or blame people. But I do want ALL of us to do our part to keep it on point, and FRIENDLY. Don't expect to convert people to what you believe politically. It just won't happen. And when pointing out flaws in one's belief, don't do so in a condesending manner. Because there are probably faults in what you believe too. The idea is to have a FRIENDLY discussion, not start World War IV.
I'm glad so many of you visit this board daily. My hope is to garner MORE participation. There are many lurkers, and it would be great to see some of you join the conversation. I don't over-moderate. I don't moderate based on my beliefs (ie I won't delete a post because they differ in what I believe). I will join the conversation and express myself, but the decisions to act on posts or users is as fair as possible. I think many of you will attest to that.
I've said it before, this is one of the best boards on Radio-Info. It is that way because of those of you who participate and respect one another. Thanks!
