Yes. The coverage that sites like radio-locator show are misleading. The pattern is higly stylized supposedly to protect WHYC. It's a kidney shaped signal with one side going straight towards Greenville, and the other towards Buxton. Plus, they also have 250 watt "translator" there at 91.1.

WURI and WBUX no longer have any measurable audience, despite having strong signals over their communities. I would think the people at WUNC would be willing to listen to proposals. The agreement they have with WCPE is in place mainly because nobody has offered a competing service.
