Based on the "Oldest Extant Off-Air VHS/Beta Tape You Have" post in the "Classic TV" thread, I was wondering if anybody has ever bought audio tapes, of any format, off of Ebay, or from garage sales, yard sales, thrift stores or antiques stores, that had stuff recorded off of the radio on them. I have come across some tapes like this. One was a tape that I posted about here before that had "Big Band" era music recorded off of, what was then KJLA 1190AM in Kansas City, MO from 1989, which I found at a flea market & another tape that I found at a outdoor flea market\steam engine show in Shelbina, MO, that had special programming that was recorded off of KRES 104.7FM in Moberly, MO sometime back in February 1985 (The special programming was "Adult Standards". The station usually played Country music.). I've also found some other tapes that had stuff recorded off of other radio stations, but the audio quality wasn't very good, either due to a faulty tape recorder, or due to the person using the technique of setting the tape recorder next to the radio, instead of hooking the recorder directly up to the radio, or using a radio with a built-in tape recorder. I know that some have traded these kind of recordings, but I was just wondering if anyone has actually bought them like I have.
