I read today that Edward "Buz" Schwartz passed away today.
Although I only ever met Buz once in person, I count him as my "radio friend". Daily for many years I listened to his interesting program on his station "Money Radio". The 1600 spot on the AM dial dominated the upper range of that band here on Los Angeles as far as Im concerned! Opinionated, historical, informative and even a bit "off the wall", Buz was completely enjoyed by all.
Many of the well known financial radio shows on the air today, can trace their humble roots to starting on KMNY.
Today I run my own finacial radio program on KNEW 910 on Sunday afternoons in San Francisco. Each week I play "oldies but goodies" at some point in the show. I confess to stealing this idea from the one who originated it...Buz Schwartz.
I was blessed to learn from you.
