Buzz 1057?

I had it tuned in a bit today... and a bit yesterday.

I also detected hearing "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" today. But I seem to recall hearing them play it yesterday too! Both times were during the day. Seems very odd.

I second that Tower, the music mix is terrible. What a waste of a powerful radio station! Not to mention that Mark sounds like a transplant to the area, oh wait he is...

Mark, I'm glad to read that you can joke about this. But your ratings aren't even in the Top 15! Nobody is listening to you and/or the station. I've listened for a brief time. IMO, the music is "old" - Nothing fresh about anything. I've listened to the midday person, the person sounds "new to radio"...You Mark, need a co-host, bad...Lemme guess, there's no budget. Of course! You've got 2 veterans in Julie Feiner and Darcy, I would put one of the two on AM with you. And you're the Morning man! You've listed on your own stations web site at the bottom, why???? I'd be a little offended. Of course you don't care, your a team playa...

It's the little things..You are the driver behind the station...But you've got a huge problem, NOBODY is listening. If this continues, I give you till the end of August, buh bye.

I quite like it... and am listening to it now...except in my office (10 miles away from xmitter site) the reception is AWFUL! Powerful station??? Aren't they only 7100 watts?
 
You're confusing the reception with the programing and morning talent. I have a hard time understanding just what the direction is with this station and it'll never beat B with Mark on board. It is a powerful station on paper but doubtful engineering has ever been done right.
 
Your office is 10 miles away. Is it over the hill from Bald Mt? Are you on the opposite side of a building from the TX site? Is there a lot of electronic noise at your location. This is a class B1 (25,000 watts at 100 meters above average terrain) The WBZZ transmitter is 187 meters above average terrain so the power has to be lower so that the primary signal contour does not exceed what 25K would be at 100 mtrs.

Yes, 10 miles (+/-) SW. Corporate Woods. Our building acts like a freakin' tomb when it comes to radio frequencies. B95 & The River are probably the best depending where the radio is. The Buzz however is mostly BUZZ except when I go to a great deal of trouble to get it... and this is by means of a C Crane FM Indoor Reflect Antenna! :eek:
 
The station has a decent signal, but the programming is an absolute waste! If Regent hadn't gone into bankruptcy, I would have assumed that this train wreck format they are running was designed as a tax write off. Give us a decent Oldies station, a decent Classic Rock station, even a decent AAA format like WDST in Woodstock...what ever...but why don't they blow that thing up?!
 
I don't really get where all the "dumping" on the Buzz format is coming from. It seems pretty good to me... and they don't force feed us the mountainous heaps of endless spots that B-95 does!

You're right, there's nothing wrong with the station! Leave it the way it is...They must be thrilled with their 1.9 ratings ;)
