Buzz Bakesale 2006??

Does anyone care, anymore, about Rock radio?? The station's numbers continue to slide, and they are now somewhere below Zeta's (around the time of its' death), which is funny, since WPB, unlike Miami, is not considered 'unfertile territory' for Rock.

I hear someone calling for a guy named "Jack". Or, perhaps putting the 106.3 format on 103.1, considering how successful it has been, of late, and that would give it signal parity with 102.3 (both are out of Hobe Sound).

i duno, the 20,000 plus that show up for bakesale every year seem to care about rock radio.. I say the numbers slid cause of david lee roth.. Put him on WEAT and theyre numbers would go in the toilet to...Give opie & anthony some time, and the buzz's numbers will be fine...Also, saw the baksale lineup posted at www.buzzbakesale.com

Opie and Anthony seems to be doing well in the 18-34 ranks from last Spring. Does anyone have any recent ratings for PBZ?

I don't think they let you post exact numbers here, but Spring '06 was .2 lower than Zeta's last book.

I know. But placements are acceptable. I was looking for more timeslot and demo breakdowns. If there aren't any, that's fine.

I should probably add.....John-O (or whoever's call it was) did me the biggest favor....I took a year's sabbatical, traveled extensively with the weekends off I had, and then worked other stations part-time (in MIAMI, no less), with some even more talented people, with better formats, and realized something...."Why did I give you guys four years of my time?".

For $7 an hour?? To commute an hour and a half?? And do you realize, I never sent ONE DEMO TAPE in the time I was employed up there because I became complacent with my Sunday shift at Northpoint??

No, I have no further comments on you, personally - I just thought I should point out to those reading that the guy slagging The Buzz Bake Sale and the Rock format in general is an ex-employee.

Over the last 11 years, the Buzz Bake Sale has become one of the top Modern Rock festivals in the U.S. That's cool if you don't dig the music, "to each his own".
