BuzzFeed announced last November it would acquire HuffPost in a deal with Verizon Media that went through in February

Wow. Huffington Post had $20 million in losses in 2020? One wonders how many other online news purveyors are in equal dire straits.
I never read the HuffPost much myself, but gave them props for some of their articles that seemed fairly evenhanded and informative. Sad to see them fall, but maybe this acquisition can revive them.... although 47 people get the axe in the process...
