BUZZING IN KTRH"s SIDEBANDS

I know that KTRH had dropped the IBOC/IBIQUITY digital system there were using, but
I now hear another type of noise on either side of the stations main carrier. I wonder if they are testing the other digital system.

I wondered if they had dropped iBOC - their signal is back now in Plano.

Sometimes if the program audio has some sort of very high frequency hum or buzz (often from a remote source) it will show up in sidebands that resemble IBOC. I've heard this on some of the brokered ethnic stations in town, especially KREH. Also some digital feeds with insufficient bitrates can have some artifacts slop over outside the usual bandwidth.

What I hear on my Sony Nightmare Machine..er... Dream Machine clock radio while listening to 'TRH is an annoying high pitched whine. I have no idea if it's on 740.00 exact or any of the sidebands on either side. That thing is a b1tch to tune. :p

KTRH has never run IBOC.

If it has, its certainly a surprise to everyone else (including KTRH!)....I have never heard it run IBUZ at all...
and the analog signal has not changed either..too much in the high end to be even IBUZ capable.
