BW TX1 Exiter User's experience

I need a good low cost exiter for laboratory testings of my audio airchain. I can't affort a BE FX50 for that use only, and my actual low cost exiter seems to introduce some overshoots after the Omnia6. The manufacturer claims that it will make a great job to replace a FX50, I'm ready to beleive it but as he didn't offer to test the unit, your user's experience is welcome.

The TX1 Fm transmitter uses the latest version of our all in one board, which is common to all of our exciters up to 1KW. The RF section of the board is an enhanced version of our PLL plus exciter. Both the all in one and PLL plus exciters are OEM'd by various manufacturers who have choosen it because of its industry leading audio distorion (for an analogue exciter), constant deviation with frequency, audio transparency and ability to pass low frequency squarewaves without tilt.

You will likely want to use the MPX input of the TX1 but should you wish to use the left and right audio inputs you can take advantage of the new DSP 15Khz linear phase filters contained in the stereo generator section of the same board.

The TX1,TX5,TX25,TX50,TX150,TX300,TX600 and the new TX1000 certainly have higher specifications than units costing considerably more.

We would like to be able to offer demo units but the TX1 has a very low margin for our company so this unit does not have a try before you buy policy. There are enough people out there who are using it or one of its bigger brothers for you to get some advice and allow you to make an informed purchase decision.

If you have any further questions in relation to the tehnical aspects of this or one of other units then do not hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards
Scott

Just received and tested the unit. Scott you were right !
It's a GREAT product, the difference with our previous exiter is simply incredible. No more overshoots, clean audio, constant deviation and of course a real gain of loudness on the air. Congratulations BW !
