I just wanted to kill any rumors or speculation about my exit from Bayou 95.7. First, I resigned, for many reasons (now those you can take a swipe at), and that was different, because usually I get fired. Second, I have been approached by several stations (yeah you'll have to take a guess on those too) but may persue my life long dream of taking on the challenging world of working the drive thru at Wendy's. Actually, after doing radio for a very, very long time, I have no intentions of getting out now, so we'll see what the future holds. I want to also clear something up, there has been some really bad stuff said on this board about Kat, and when I found out she was coming to work at Bayou, because of this board and some stories I heard 3rd hand, I was not really jazzed about the idea. But for the people on here that have never worked with Kat, mainly because they have never spent one second on the air, you should not judge someone, or relay things about a person that you heard. I only worked with Kat for a brief time, but she's good people, and I can honestly say I would work with her again without reservations. No matter how good or bad you are on the air, or what kind of attitude or ego you have, I will always respect people in radio that are first entertainers, DJ's are for nightclubs, second, passionate about what they do, a job is a job, radio is a way of life, and third, talent that can admit they can always get better. Kat is all that, and more. As far as people who have worked with her, and have negative things to say, Kat is a person that gives what she gets, remember, respect is a two way street. So I typed all that to say, Kat had nothing to do with my exit from Bayou. Entercom, is one hell of a company, a big corporate entity who still concentrates on what comes out of the speakers, and I would suggest working for them if you get the chance, they really do value talent. So there is my short story, enjoy. NOTE, typos are alchol induced,
