CC Phoenix Morning Shows to Join Local FOX Affiliate

Clear Channel/Phoenix says KKEZ-FM (99.9 KEZ) morning hosts Beth McDonald and Bill Austin along with KNIX-FM morning duo Ben Campbell and Matt McAllister will become regular contributors to FOX 10 Arizona Morning at 7am and 8am weekdays. Beginning in early February, the radio hosts will join the TV outlet's Ron Hoon, Rick D'Amico and Alexis DelChiaro to chat up the day's news, lifestyle information and local events.

"We're excited to be teaming with the FOX gang in this manner. Both morning tandems bring their own unique, funny, and sometimes twisted take on the day's current events. FOX has been a terrific collaborator with us on several partnerships in the recent past and I'm confident this pairing will prove equally fulfilling," said Clear Channel Phoenix VP/Market Manager Joe Puglise. I've never heard of this KKEZ-FM, I wonder if it's anything like KESZ?

I have a feeling that 3-TV, the place with more fluff, has nothing to fear.

Beth & Bill got on GMAZ in the first place because KTVK and KEZ were co-owned at the time.

But won't their being on Channel 10 take away from the American Idol highlights that seem to be the main reason for their morning newscast to exist nowadays? ;D
