Hawaii Bye bye fish

Salem is selling 95.5 KAIM to emf for its modem worship Air 1 network replacing translator for the network. Air 1 had previously aired on the 100kw 103.5 until emf switched that signal to klove which will remain. 95.5 has been contemporary Christian since 1992 and that history ends as air 1 is modern worship which targets younger demos for some reason that confuses me but that’s what the research shows.

Modern worship is pretty much bands that are sprouted by megachurches & it's pretty much grouped into CCM as well anyway. BTW, interesting listen for those in Hawaii that listened to the signoff a few days ago, minutes before that, they heard the song automation system being toyed with, likely perhaps remotely preparing to shut it down. I'm sure there are ways to do it so it's not heard OTA like this, but sure made for an interesting listen & proof that The Fish Hawaii was largely, outside of the morning show (lone local show left) a voice-tracked, automated station.
