Note to Entercom suits in Sacramento: Isn't it time to put up a new sign for
KCTC-AM 1320 in front of the building downtown by the freeway? What an eye-sore it is becoming. All that money in the bank and they can't even repair a simple
sign. Sad really sad! It's only been that way for years now! Like since KYMX
96.1 went away!

If I were a betting person, that's what I'd lay my money on. Give about ten tons of props to Staci Anderson and the Flash crew for putting together a very passionate "Save Our Station" campaign. The last day on 103.9 was quite a presentation by Steve Woods, Staci and everyone else. And even if they already knew what was going to happen, they still inspired a lot of interest.

I assume you're referring to the sign that overlooks the WX freeway? Entercom doesn't own that building or the sign, or the old STL tower that sits behind it. The State of California bought the building from ARS when they spun off KCTC and merged KYMX. KCTC is, as you know, located on Madison with the other Entercom stations.
 
I'm curious to find out who will be the first to post a retraction when 103.9 turns to something other than Spanish. C'mon, we've all seen this before when a station tells us one thing and something else happens. Are we all going to fall for this stunting? Again? Not me.
I know Woody et al would do a great job as he and Anderson have shown nothing but professionalism. I hope 92.1 increases their signal and we get the same quality of radio that 103.9 gave Sac. And for any new formats, be it Spanish or something else, let's hope they're given a chance before being lambasted on this sewing board.

Today, 103.9 is stunting by playing Wall Of Voodoo's "Mexican Radio" song until the flip happens tomorrow morning at 12am. Bob 92.1 had a great 5 months on the air..but something better will move in at 92.1FM..Let's wait and see what happens?.

The perhaps the State of California should take the sign down it's still an
eyesore! The STL's antennas are on the roof of that building BTW.
