After close to 60 years of existence, the industry social group Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters is throwing in the towel.

I was a PPB member but was part of a group of members who resigned their memberships (two of which had also been board members at the time) over the name change to Hollywood Media Professionals. We believed the name change would solve nothing, and as it turned out we were correct.
Evanier is best known in comic book circles, but was also involved in animation production (notably Garfield and Friends), which qualified him for PPB membership at the time.
